Offer Prayers to Lord Ganesha

If you wish to perform the archana by yourself, you can chant the shloka after learning it or by reading the scroll bar. Keep offering flowers, kumkum or akshata (red rice), one for each "namah" that you chant. Once the shloka is completed, click on the arathi to perform arathi. Once the arathi is completed click on the coconut to offer it to the Lord. Once the archana is completed before leaving the temple click on the bell. Alternatively you can perform a real archana by following the actions in the archana being done.

Keep ready:

  • Copper or silver cup filled with water with a few tulasi leaves and a little saffron.
  • Agarbathi
  • Flowers
  • Fruits
  • Coconuts
  • Sweets
  • Arughu grass or baby grass.
  • Brass or silver bell.
  • Brass or silver arathi lamp.
Ideally you should have all these items, but do not despair if you do not have a few of them. What matters is the sincerity of the pooja and the purity of the mind. Wash the flowers and fruits and place them in copper or silver plates and keep in front of Lord Ganesha.
